Vibe Bridal Show 2008

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

What an amazing event that took place at the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort this weekend!!  We had the pleasure to design an original concept of “ICE”  for the Hilton’s space at the show.  Using the most stunning Phaleanopsis Orchids, Silver Orbs, and cut glass– the space gave a “WOW!” presentation that set the tone for the day!  Let us know what you think!  A special thanks to Owen Chittenden at The Hilton Resort & Jennifer Bertling of BBJ Linen to make this a spectacular event for us!

Our own personal representation was a bit more couture– with Black Baccara Roses, Red Hydrangea, Hanging Amaranthus, Red Celosia, Burgundy Mini carnations (yes! Carnations!), gorgeous Purple Phleanopsis Orchids and red feathers.  The table was capped off with black chivari chairs, individual floral favors and a delicious cookie from The Pastry Studio.  Yum!

With thanks!

Today I received this gorgeous note from a favorite couple we worked with this past May that included their photography, flowers, linens and wedding designs!  It was at the amazing Casa Monica in St. Augustine– and this couple was a complete joy to work with!!  Here is the special card that we received with the beautiful imagery Greg captured on the day!  Thanks to Cari and Nick for the wonderful memories!

Bess & David: The Wedding

Saturday, September 20th, 2008

When sitting down to write a thoughtful message about our September 13th wedding, we were not quite sure how to describe this wonderful couple and their amazing evening. Bess & David have a great enthusiasm for life, family & friends. The experience of working with Bess, David and their families are one of the reasons we decided to get into this business 5 years ago. Witnessing their experiences this past weekend was a very special gift for both of us.

And just today, I received a lovely letter from Ellen, the wonderful Mother-of-the-Bride. I think that her words best capture the day for me… It reads: “Dear Corrine- What can we say but… you made magic! You made a beautiful beach side wedding spectacular. The bamboo chuppah was exactly what we dreamed of and the plant and flowers set everything off beautifully. The aisle decorations set the perfect tone. How you arranged for a full moon we will never know… trade secret we are sure. Of course when the guests entered the ballroom they were thrilled by the elegant, romantic table centerpieces. We loved every little black rock. You are such an artist to create a mood and theme as opposed to an arrangement that is just “pretty”. If you cannot tell, we loved everything you created and your work will be one of out fondest memories. We are so happy that Greg will be capturing it all so that we will always be able to look back and smile. Thank you so, so much. Warmly, Ellen”

Ellen- here is a glimpse of some of the pictures from their day. I know you, Alan & all your families will treasure the memories of the weekend for years to come. We can’t wait for you to see the rest of them!

E-A-G-L-E-S… GO EAGLES! And a special thanks to David for his advice on my fantasy football team. The sad fact is- I didn’t take his advice-and lost by one. ~Greg

David’s Grandfather a.k.a. Best Man, planted a pretty good kiss on me (To all you readers– it’s Corrine writing!) after pinning on his boutonierre. I think he enjoyed both of them– the kiss and the flower! (wink, wink!!) And of course… Mother-of-the-Bride Ellen & beautiful Bess sharing a special Mother/Daughter moment.

The entire week before the ceremony, our design team was concerned that the plans for their outside terrace ceremony may have to be moved inside due to poor weather. But Alas, Hurricane Ike took a turn south– and Bess & David were blessed with a beautiful day & night at the acclaimed Shores Resort & Spa! A special thank you to Michelle & the Shores staff for all of your help that day.

Anticipation, excitement & great weather… what more could they ask for?

Congratulations for all of beautiful moments shared and joy of two great families becoming one. Enjoy Greece you two.

Date Night!

Friday, September 19th, 2008

Greg and I took a break from our 3 darling kids and had Date night!  Yeah!  First, we hit up Ronin Sushi on International Speedway Boulevard for some amazing Sushi and Saki.  If you haven’t been– it’s a definite must taste and see!  We frequent this restaurant more than we will admit– but it’s our favorite place for sushi locally.  If you go, we recommend the Ronin Roll & Wazzabi Roll.  For sushi & sake lovers– it’s always delicious and well worth the visit!

After an amazing meal, we headed to Chapel in the Garden to attend the monthly Bliss Affair.  What an event!  It was a great time to catch up with other local business owners, residents and everyday party-goers.  We attempted to win some prizes in the raffle, but as usual, left empty-handed!  Even though we walked away with nothing,  it was still a great time.  We will definitely check out some other affairs by the Bliss Girls.  If you haven’t checked out the My Bliss Magazine, pick one up!  We’ve been advertising for about 6 months now– and it’s a great resource to notice some of the wonderful local businesses in the Greater Daytona Area.  This month’s cover looks like this:

Victoria & Peter: The Wedding Day

Monday, September 8th, 2008

After 8 years of courtship, Victoria and Peter tied the knot at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in downtown Deland on August 30th. WIth 80 of their closest family & friends in attendance, they shared the joy of FINALLY making it official!! Yeah!!

With a short drive back to Daytona, they enjoyed a cocktail hour and reception at the LPGA Country Club. Everyone had a great time, enjoyed delicious food and partied the night away. Congratulations to you both and thanks for letting us share in your special day! We hope you both have a great time in Vegas- baby!!

Our design team created stunning bouquets and candlabra-pieces of amazing ecuadorian roses.

Invitation to Chapel & Tavern in the Garden

Saturday, September 6th, 2008

We were very excited to be asked to participate in the monthly open house at the Chapel & Tavern in the Garden.  Greg spent the afternoon visiting with newly engaged couples on their upcoming weddings at the venue.  We showcased our photography work, and also some beautiful centerpiece ideas.   Here is a bit of what the guests were able to see.

Great to meet you all!
