Some Additional Bags!!!

Friday, May 29th, 2009

Ok, so the day after this post I got messages from all my best girlfriends asking where their bags were.  I’m seriously in trouble now.  My own two darling babes even were asking where their bags were.  I’m working on it!  I’m working on it!

For my two little ladies– here are some cute added bags to the collection with them as the inspiration.  I’m also adding a wallet (for the guys) and a diaper bag.  Check it out!  (And yes, Kelly and Steph– your bags are coming soon too!)  Love you both!

LOOK MOM!!!

I love BAGS, PURSES, WALLETS!  What girl doesn’t?  I will admit that I’ve had my fair share of expensive leather goodies over the years (a guilty pleasure for many women)– and I’m constantly needing to style it up with a new glamorous bag.  Well, now I’m real in trouble because I’m offering the most scrumptious, adorable bags that are completely customizable.  YES LADIES!!  They are beautiful, well-made and all about YOU!  Check them out….

Isabel & Michael: The Wedding Day

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

Isabel & Michael contacted us only a couple of weeks ago to photograph their wedding.  See, it’s not that they were bad planners– but their plans had to be altered at the last minute.  Isabel and Mike had originally planned to marry at an all inclusive resort in Mexico– but when the “Swine Flu Epidemic” hit that part of the world– all plans were abruptly changed.

This was probably the fastest that I’ve ever witnessed an entire wedding come together– and come together it did– flawlessly!  With only about 40 guests in attendance, Isabel and Mike found the Ginn Hammock Beach online and decided it looked perfect.  Well, it is!

We absolutely love the Ginn Hammock Beach Resort– it is a gorgeous venue right on the ocean that is incredible on so many levels.  This resort was a perfect choice for Isabel & Mike’s initimate group– and the Ginn’s five star experience offers fine dining, wonderful golf and leisure activities– and it’s absolutely beautiful.  And wait, it gets better!  Our favorite part about the Ginn is their yacht!  Yes, their yacht– The Sundancer!  LOVE IT!!!  This gorgeous vessel it is perfect for a smaller wedding party– or a rehearsal dinner fiesta!  (Keep that in mind!)  The yacht cruises the Intercoastal and it is absolutely brilliant.

Greg was there to capture the imagery for Isabel & Michael– it was a great time by all.  We loved the “Hora Loca” (Crazy Hour) that Isabel & Mike orcestrated towards the end of the night– full of masks, confetti & lots of drinks!  What a great couple!  Thank you for coming to Florida and letting DETAILS be part of your start together!

Sarah & Rick: The Wedding Day

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

Sarah & Rick plans for a romantic destination wedding retreat included 40 of their closest family & friends. Their celebration began a few nights before their nuptials– and included several special events at The Shores Resort & Spa including roasting s’mores over the fire pit, a rehearsal dinner at Azure and a beautiful sunset ceremony on the Ocean Terrace.

Sarah desired a bouquet in bold Birds of Paradise Colors with a lush mix of tropical touches throughout the cocktail hour. For the rooftop reception, they planned an elegant candlelit dinner overlooking the Atlantic Ocean– it was a gorgeous evening with Orchids, jewels and delicious food! With only 50 guests, DJ Vern kept the evening full of fun– and they danced and danced!

To Rick and Sarah- we were so happy to work on the plans of your day and capture the evening with these photographs. May your lives be full of rich memories, great friends and love shared. All the best to you both!

-Greg and Corrine

The food and desserts prepared by The Shores were really delicious from what I hear! Everytime I look at these pictures, my stomach growls! On a side note, their groom’s cake was an exact sugar replica of a light saber from Star Wars. Cheers to The Pastry Studio for creating a unique showpiece that everyone enjoyed and even played with throughout the night!

Special Delivery: Paxton

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

When we found out just shortly after Jennifer & Wes’ wedding that they would be expecting a baby– we were over the moon for them! They are a wonderful couple that were incredible to work with. We think that this little guy, based on dates, might have been a gift from their honeymoon! What a gift!

Jennifer & Wes are full of so much love for each other– if was great to witness at their wedding. We have to say that their adorable baby boy, PAXTON, is very lucky that the stork delivered him to their home. Greg went to capture some moments of the new parents and their grandmother who was visiting this sweet little guy. To Jennifer & Wes– “Congratulations!” and to PAXTON- “Welcome to our extended family!”

My Baby is O-N-E!

Tuesday, May 19th, 2009

In my attempt to better catalog my life (family and business)– I am going to attempt to pick up the camera at least once a week and photograph things other than just our events.  Family- friends- kids- and moments in our life away from DETAILS… as we actually do have a LIFE outside of the studio!

And on the occasions when I do photograph for me–I get some really great stuff– even if it took hundreds of shots to get it– I will!   Taking pictures with Greg’s high tech camera equipment is a treat, as it is so much more fun than my little point and shoot.  I’m slowly figuring out what all the dials are for and my goal is to become as skilled behind the camera as I am with my flowers.  So to have a “hobby”– I’m going to post pictures that I have taken with our cameras.   I have a few things up my sleeve too and I plan on showing them in the form of my kids, family, etc.!  Keep watching!

For proof, here’s some pictures of our Aiden– who celebrated his first birthday yesterday!  In honor of his day– here is a picture of him at the beach… and yes, I took these.  The proof exists only because Greg’s head is in the shot!  (He’ll say he set the camera for me… but I’m taking complete credit for this moment captured!)   My two men at the beach!  Enjoy!  I’ll post some pictures of him on his birthday in the coming days…

…for the bride who loves PINK!

Sunday, May 17th, 2009

It’s absolutely true that this particular bride loved PINK!  I have to say that I love PINK too!  In Liz’s case, she wanted a look that was soft and feminine, but whisical and garden-like. It was perfectly pink and perfectly Liz.

I love SO many different color combinations! When trying to figure out what my favorite combo is– I simply can not– as it changes on a weekly basis… really.  Each wedding is unique, and along with being the bride’s vision– it’s uniquely me too!   I loved, loved, loved Liz’ pink wedding– and this week I love what we’ve come up with for some future weddings.  For example, I finalized Kate’s July wedding details with her this week, and her vision includes Rich Navy Blues accents of Apple Green and citrus, green cymbidium orchids infused– LOVE IT!;  I worked with Sarah on selecting the base colors for her November nuptials and she was all for Moss, Coppers and Taupes — it will be very contemporary– GOTTA LOVE IT!

I love colors, textures and the details–especially when they are mixed with thought and artistry.  Those brides who are bold enough to stray from standard white are always thrilled with colour that is uniquely them. But hey, on certain special occasions, white is the only choice.    Keena and I have an incredible ALL white wedding planned for this Summer that will be stunning– white phaleanopsis orchids, crystals and candlelight– what more could a girl want?!!  You’ll see!

In my love for my “job” (is it really a J-O-B?!!), I have a fantasic role as artist, consultant and friend to experience the excitement again and again through the eyes and reaction of my clients.  It’s wonderful to take someone’s personal style, vision and passion and transform it into reality!  In a sense, I’ve felt like a bride hundreds of times.  If YOU love it and I LOVE it– then we’ve made MAGIC together!

Here are some more featured pictures from Liz & Chris’ PINK wedding.  Greg and I are really looking forward to seeing Liz & Chris the in coming weeks when they have their “One Last Dance” session! Liz’ gown was so stunning, she certainly deserves another twirl with her groom. Stay tuned…

Great Balls of Fire!

Thursday, May 14th, 2009

As you all know- Greg, like most men I know, is obsessed with sports. Mainly baseball, but he follows just about everything. A man’s man to the core– he can blab on for hours about how to throw a curve ball or catch a pass with his eyes closed. It’s obnoxious! Most recently he’s been doing some type of “fantasy” operation that he’s dragged my brother into– will the endless talk about homeruns, tags at the plate, and diving catches ever cease? As soon as one sports season has ended, another season has begun… the list goes on and on. When he became the manager of his local “semi-pro” baseball team a couple of years ago, that’s when I nearly lost it. Arrrggg! No more sports! (I will admit that I did contribute as team mom only once, and provided some delicious lemonade and pistaschios for all the guys. I have to get them to like me somehow!!)

His passion for sports is his weakness, but also his love. My Aiden already loves his baseball and can palm it with one hand… Greg is very proud! In honor of his endless love and spirit for the game, here are some recent pictures that Greg did for a local youth league. I will admit, just this once, that it was a pretty cool shoot that the kids all really loved! Enjoy!
