This past February, we had the esteemed pleasure of working on the Pappas & Matassini wedding at The Hilton Oceanfront Resort.  In 2004,  I created the florals for Christina’s sister’s wedding– and I was so happy to be one of the first people contacted when Christina started the plans for her February 20, 2009 wedding date!  Each of the Pappas sisters have exquisite taste, and the day included beautiful Greek elements with contemporary flair.  Our floral plans included thousands of Orange Mokara, James Story & Voo Doo Cymbidium orchids; the manzanita branching and rich Black Magic Roses helped to tie it all together.

As the wedding plans pushed forward, and the guest list continued to grow, Christina brought all the pieces together when she added celebrity wedding planner Heather Snively of Weddings Unique put all the pieces together.  On a personal level, I was really hoping that Christina would include Weddings Unique– as their weddings have been featured on Platinum Weddings, among just a few known programs.  I’m constantly learning and developing my knowledge of the event industry, so I was so excited to learn from one of the best in the country.  Heather helped to orchestrate the day to perfection and create unique moments for all 400 guests.

About a month ago, we joined the Adventure Boat Club here in Daytona Beach.  If you are interested in having a fleet of boats to chose from on nearly any day– this is a great club to be a part of.  They having fishing boats, wakeboard boats, cabin cruiser boats, pontoon boats– about 30 different boats to choose from.  We joined the club with a weekday membership– since we are typically working at weddings on the weekend.  It’s been great fun for all of us.  The kids are loving the open ocean and tubing; and we’ve  taken so many of our friends & family to enjoy it too!  It’s great fun to pack a lunch, bring a couple of beers and explore nature.

Well, for Greg’s 31st birthday, we took a 26′ Key West fishing boat out near Ponce Inlet, Florida. Just Greg and I– for some rest and relaxation– and hopes of catching some BIG fish.  We were out about 20 miles trolling for Mahi Mahi when we noticed three Atlantic bottlenose dolphins approaching our boat. We were surprised when they started putting on a performance for us. It was AWESOME!  The best part is that Greg caught all of the amazing action of film.  Here is some video for your enjoyment– we were both truly enjoying the moment!  (I think the Dolphin were too!)

At Angie & Jason’s wedding we had the esteemed pleasure of working with Arami from Elegante Films. We have been enjoying his work since Angie & Jason told us they had hired him to video their wedding. We absolutely love his style and can’t wait to work with him more!
