North Carolina Wedding Adventure

Most of the weddings we photograph (and create florals for) take place not too far from home– usually in the Sunshine State.   Of course we love traveling, but creating florals in long range distances isn’t always possible.   But when my childhood best friend’s little sister came calling– we new we had a special reason to make exceptions.   Both Greg and I were excited about traveling to the mountains of North Carolina to photograph Miranda & Dan’s wedding.   Both Greg and I were enthusiastic for a change in scenery– and when it is a “family affair”– we couldn’t leave out the kids.  So we decided to make it a family vacation and brought our 3 kids to meet the “rest of the family!”  It was a great adventure– long overdue.  Together, we planned some fun excursions with the kids, hiked a mountain and took in the scenery at Blowing Rock– near Boone.  Well, in the week preceding the wedding, I discussed Miranda’s plan for “the decor”.  When I found out the minimal amount of decorations that Miranda had planned– I couldn’t help but offer to bring some Details inventory and some added bling to create Miranda’s “Dream Wedding”.  After a little ordering, a little planning and packing up all the “accessories” (and kids), we headed North.  And what a beautiful experience it was, one the whole family will remember.   Before the big day, I hadn’t spent time thinking about all the people we would see and all the memories that would be rushing back to my mind.  This amazing family was such an intrigual part of my youth– and I love each of them so much.  It was quite a treasure to be there– and to capture the memories of Miranda and Dan’s love– and to add some special touches with flowers here and there.   That’s what friends are for… and I’m grateful for my “family” in North Carolina.

Candice & Jason: Tavern in the Garden

Candice & Jason’s wedding at the Tavern in the Garden was a very special reminder to Greg and I of the commitment we made.  You see, Candice & Jason’s wedding took place on our very own anniversary– 11 years after the fact.  It’s truly is remarkable to watch two people make a special bond together– and every wedding is a reminder of that commitment.  It was special to know that for the next 50 years, Candice & Jason and Greg & I will be reminded again and again… and on the same day.  Congratulations to you both!  We truly enjoyed working with you guys.

All the best,

Corrine & Greg

Jennifer & Jamar: The Hammock Beach Resort

Jennifer & Jamar’s wedding at Hammock Beach was simply… BEAUTIFUL!  We really had such a great time working with these two wonderful families to make the day a flawless and memorable occasion.  Jennifer & Jamar planned such special touches for their guest count of nearly 200.  The reception took place under an amazing tent situated to overlook the Atlantic Ocean.  It was superb!   We enjoy working at The Hammock Beach Resort and also with the amazing ladies from Blush– who coordinated the wedding.  Additionally, our team created beautiful bouquets and arrangements and also PHOTOGRAPHED the day.  Here are some of our favorite images from the day.  Congratualtions Jennifer & Jamar!

Ashley & Ryan: The Wedding Day

You may have noticed that we recently updated our blog.  We made some major changes and added some new featured sections.  We LOVE it!!   One of the main reasons for the change was to feature some weddings from years past– and hope that they do not get lost in the shuffle of newer events.

Well, this Featured LOVE STORY is about our friend Ashley and her amazing husband Ryan.  They were married last August 2010 at Paradise Cove in Orlando.  It was a rockin’ wedding- let me tell you!  So much fun… and just simply beautiful.

This week we learned some exciting news.  One month ago, when Ashley posted to facebook that she just couldn’t stop smiling– Greg and I look at each other and said, “I bet Ashley’s Pregnant!”  Well, last week she finally announced to everyone that she is expecting a baby!!  We are so excited for the two of them… they are going to make great parents.  In honor of their fantastic news– we are featuring this amazing couple!!  Here are the pictures from their beautiful wedding.  We can’t wait to meet your lil’ nugget!!

The theme for the wedding were the colors of Sunset- rich plums, oranges, yellows and pinks.  The flowers were native to South Africa- where Ashley’s father was born.  The ceremony and reception took place at Paradise Cove in Orlando, Florida.  Enjoy!
