It’s always fun to collaborate on photo shoots to brand a style. And when a group of very talented professional get together– it’s pure magic. Exactly that happened at the Chapel in the Garden a few months ago. We had a great team — which included the talents of Kristia Knowles Photography, The Pastry Studio, A Chair Affair, Studio Sloan Hair & Make up, La Tavola Linens, Bridal Ltd, & Molta Bella. With beautiful models showcasing the bouquets and attire– it was simply divine. We’re looking forward to the next time we all get together to make this magic happen.

Diane & Tyler’s Engagement Session

Diane & Tyler’s Engagement Session took place a few weeks ago at one of Greg’s favorite locations in St. Augustine. It’s really a beautiful location, filled with lush greenery and palm tree– perfect spots for happy couples to relax, take in the scenery and each other. Diane and Tyler were no different… they got right into the groove pretty quickly. They were a lot of fun to work with– and we can’t wait to show off show of their beautiful wedding images. Jessica & Russell: The Tavern in the Garden

After a chance meeting in the mall, Russell had met his match in Jessica. He announced to his friends that “he had just seen a girl with the most beautiful eyes in the world” and “the girl he was going to marry”. Russell pursued Jessica for 10 months– until she finally agreed to go on a date with him. On their first date, Russell stole a kiss– and Jessica was smitten. Their first date– a trip to Fred Lee Park, and surprised Jessica with a picnic basket with a blanket, sandwiches, chocolate chip cookies, sparkling grape juice, and two wine glasses. They set up on third base of a baseball field, and had a picnic under the lights of the field. It was very sweet, playful, and innocent. Soon after that date, Jessica & Russell were inseparable. Just seven months after dating, Russell re-enacted our first date. He took me to the exact same spot on the baseball field, with a picnic, and of course, sparkling grape juice and wine glasses. Just this time, we were both dressed up really nice and he surprised Jessica with a beautiful engagement ring! During their 7-month engagement, Jessica & Russell were separated for 6 months while Russell was in boot camp. They saw each other on two short occasions before their wedding. Russell flew back to Jessica only 2 days before their wedding. It wasn’t ideal, but those times really bonded Jessica and Russell and sealed their commitment to each other through thick and thin.

Their wedding took place at the beautiful Chapel in the Garden in Port Orange. In Jessica’s words, “Our wedding was absolutely perfect, and we were so happy to finally be able to start our life together.” For their “honeymoon,” they traveled from Port Orange, Florida to San Diego, California– stopping in several places along the way. After a few months of marriage, both Jessica & Russell agree that getting married was the best decision they had ever made.

Ideas are blooming – just like our flowers! It’s been an amazing period of time with my girls dance & gymnastics seasons in full bloom. I’m often asked if I can help with performance bouquets from Moms & Dads, grandparents, and “friends of” about little bouquets for our kids who are involved in dance, cheerleading, music lessons and the myriad of extra curricular activities available today. There is always a finale’ of some sort, to show off all that has been learned…..and at the end of the finale’ – FLOWERS!

Hence, I decided that truly I needed to meet the challenge and provide what Moms & Dads, grandparents and “friends of” have been requesting. Bouquet2go.com is the answer.

We had our “promotional shoot” a few weeks ago and the most adorable performers filled our studio to “model” the bouquets! A lovely group of young ladies eleven years old and younger. We could not have asked for a better group. The tutu’s and dance costumes were provided by Kinetic Expressions Dance Academy (KEDA), thank you Diane & Miss Crystal. Shelley from Sloan Studios, on location, perfected the sweet, beautiful faces of our young models and captured their hair with jeweled bedazzles from The Collection in Winter Park, thank you to Milly and Mimi!! Sherry from Molto Bella (our business neighbor in Ormond Beach) added the perfect finishing touch with beautiful jewels. The models were in awe and loving every moment of the primming and pampering. Once we added the Bouquet2go.com florals, we were ready to shoot.

It was an all day affair and all of our models (and us) handled it beautifully. Wait till you see the pictures. Thanks to all our models for being so relaxed, fun and beautiful, and we appreciate the talents of Greg, a fabulous photographer, who with his creative flair and perfect eye created these beautiful shots.

Mom is 60!!

My mom celebrated her 60th birthday this past week… I know she’d hate me telling the world. But I think it’s wonderful. I debated throwing her a “50th” birthday party– but she insisted that she would prefer that it be a “70th” party. So people would say– Wow! You look AMAZING for 70!! Ha! Mom really wanted one thing for her birthday… an evening with her two kids and our wonderful kids. And perhaps some family pictures. I think I can arrange that! I love you Mom! Thank you for being the person that you are… continually loving me even with my faults… and being my BEST friend. I love you SO much! Happy 50—70— nah… 60th! You’re perfect just as you are!!

The Love Letter….

Marisol & Tanner will be getting married this Fall and celebrating their nuptials at the beautiful Waldorf Astoria in Orlando. We are very excited to create some beautiful florals for their day… it is going to be very special! For their engagement session- Greg took Marisol & Tanner to beautiful Washington Oaks Garden in St. Augustine. He really enjoyed the session and working with Marisol & Tanner. I asked them to share their “Love Story” with us– and below is what they wrote about each other. They are one lucky couple to have found a love to share for the rest of their life. Congratualtions to you both!

Marisol + Tanner = Happily Ever After

From Tanner:

Marisol is one most caring people I have ever met. She is smart, driven and motivated (and let’s not forget beautiful). When something needs to get done she gets it done. That always helps me get my rear in gear. She is also very adventurous in her travel experiences. I remember when we first met, she told me about some of the places she has been to around the world and most recently had been travelling by herself in South America. (I know if that were me, I would be too scared that I would get kidnapped…hahaha.) I know I have a good travel partner in this one. She is also very thoughtful and always tries to remember birthdays, anniversaries, thank you cards, etc. (I have definitely learned a lot about etiquette since I met her, to say the least.) Her family is also great with how close they are and how they try to stay in touch all the time. I remember the day I knew I loved her. We were walking in the mall and Mari and her mom were walking hand in hand in front of us while I was talking to her dad. She always looks after them and makes sure they are safe. People always say you can tell what type of person someone is by the relationship they have with their parents. What I also love about her is the way she interacts with kids. She loooooves kids. This was probably the deciding factor that let me know she would be a great wife and mother. I am the luckiest man on earth and can’t wait to see what the future holds for us both.

From Marisol:

Tanner is one of the most adventurous, thrill seeking guys you will ever meet. Just tag along with him on the weekend to the beach and you will see that he loves his jetski, especially backflipping his jetski. What you may not know about him is that he also has a softer and more sensitive side to him. Shhh..he doesn’t want me to say that too loud. He always knows how to bring a smile to my face or surprise with me flowers just because, he always is looking out for me and makes me feel safe. He may not remember everything I say…lol…but what guy does but he does remember what’s important to me and what makes me happy. We have definitely learned a lot from each other over the years. He has taught me to laugh more and love more, to be more carefree and to enjoy every day! I love him with all my heart and I can’t wait to start the rest of my life with him.

Lauren & Tyler’s Gator inspired wedding…

Lauren & Tyler were married just a few weeks ago at the Hammock Beach Resort. There wedding was a fun celebration of family, friends and yes, a little bit of Orange & Blue. When Lauren & Tyler originally sat down to make preparations– we came up with SO many great ideas to enrich their theme. I loved our meetings– and I’m so happy with how everything came together! Below are some images from their day… we loved having our team there to capture every last surprise. I recently asked Lauren for some stories– and she sent me this. I thought it gives a glimpse of their beginning… and the rest is history!

– This is the story of their proposal—

“Every girl dreams of a magical proposal and Tyler’s was nothing short of a fairytale. While Lauren was away for the summer doing veterinary externships out west, Tyler met with Lauren’s parents and asked for their permission. They traveled to Colorado in August which would be their third trip to the state together. On the second day of the trip, they spent the day in Aspen to hike at Maroon Bells. In an aspen the grove, Tyler got down on one knee and asked Lauren to marry him. Tearfully, Lauren said, Yes! She had always joked that she wanted to get engaged on the top of a mountain, and Tyler delivered. At the end of their hike, Tyler’s family met them with champagne to celebrate. The rest of the week they enjoyed fly fishing and white water rafting and the wedding planning began!” Love, Lauren

Ashley’s Maternity Shoot

Well, you guys already know how much we love Ashley & Ryan. You can see images from their engagement session, wedding celebration & wedding video diaries… search in our blog and you’ll find a bunch more for sure!! But a few months back, when Ashley’s status update read “I can’t stop smiling!” Greg and I look at each other and said, “Ashley’s Pregnant!??” And sure enough, our presumptions were correct! She gave birth to beautiful Landen Engel Adams last month– and we are happy to share some of these pictures from the day they visited our studio and had their pictures taken. We love you both. Congratulations!!!

Oceanside Wedding at the Hammock Beach Resort

Toni and Anthony exchanged their vows at The Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast on the last day in March. The ceremony was followed by a delightful cocktail hour around the pool deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It’s such a beautiful spot to have a perfect oceanside wedding. The reception took place under the gorgeous tent– with lots of candlelight and romance. It was evident by the smiles, laughter, hugs and kisses– that everyone had such a great time. It was a rocking’ party!! We were completely delighted to be a special fit into their day– providing both the floral decor and photography throughout the day. Toni and Anthony are so charming together. A very special Congratulations to a very special couple– who we consider friends. We loved working with you guys!! Lauren & Frank’s Private Estate Wedding

Lauren and Frank were such a great couple to work with, we enjoyed sharing such a beautiful day at The Tavern and Chapel in the Garden. Lauren had contacted us just one month ago with desires for a somewhat traditional wedding plan. Lauren and Frank were such a pleasure to work with and as the plans came together we were so excited to see Lauren arriving at Agatha’s Cottage on their wedding day. Lauren just continued to sparkle and shine, her bouquet was filled with hydrangea, mini callas, tulips and lilac; she was simply stunning as she headed down the aisle at the Chapel, you could see Frank just beaming. It was a beautiful day for a beautiful couple. Thanks for sharing it with us.
